The World Setting + Trigger Warnings

Please note: I made up this world as Splatoon 2 was released, therefore, these fics' world will not be updated as of the release of Splatoon 3. Meaning, this world lacks some things present in Splatoon 3, such as tricolor splatfest battles, new weapons, kits associated with those weapons, the addition of lockers, and story mode events.

This world takes place in Inkopolis, 50 years after the events of Splatoon 2. Because of this, Off The Hook and Squid Sisters music is considered "retro" and Inkopolis has continued to evolve. Inklings and Octolings have lived in harmony for decades, and the threat of Octarians are nonexistent. Each team consists of one coach and four players, which the coach being the standby, in case one of the four members should be unable to play at that time. Each player has a "player nickname" only used in battle, and is created by the player. At various points in the fics, you will see the characters refered to as their player nickname. For example, Niles' player nickname is NEO. Also, Ink/Octolings in my world can touch water, outside of battle.
